Rice continues to be the largest export in Cambodia even though the export volume fall marginally by less than 1% in 2016. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Cambodia exported 542,144 tonnes of milled rice in 2016.
Cambodia remains to be the top ten rice exporters in the world, and Hung Hiep, home grown trading giant in Cambodia, recognise the fact that building a strong brand is essential to promote the country’s star product and that simply “selling” rice is less than sufficient to build awareness. Leveraging on its strong network and deep roots in the Khmer culture, Hung Hiep aims to be one of the advocates to market its Rice products with strategies that are receptive to its international partners and customers, which is illustrative in its recent corporate marketing directives.
Hung Hiep Chairman, Chiv Wong believes that as the country continue with its developments, the Company will remain supportive and look forward to help the nation achieve better growth and stellar results.
